I don’t know if you’ve been invited to review it yet or not, but there is an Internet Marketing Training Center that is new to the arena which was launched in July 2009. It’s called quite simply, theTRAFFICplan. theTRAFFIcplan is not some new hyped up “biz op” and it’s not just another “generic prospecting system” designed to only resell the generic prospecting system to other marketers.

The two-envelope close.

May 25th, 2009

provided by Tom “BigAl” Schreiter

Have two sealed envelopes at opportunity meetings. Label one envelope “No” and the other envelope “Yes.”

At the end of the meeting, show your guest the two envelopes. Tell your guest that he will receive one of the envelopes depending on his decision.

If the guest chooses “No” – give the guest the “No” envelope that contains discount coupons for your products or services.

If the guest chooses “Yes” – give the guest the “Yes” envelope that contains discounts and offers for training, extra fast-start packs, prospecting
tools, etc.

Now even the shyest person can ask for a decision from the guest.

Success In Network Marketing

March 30th, 2009

Harley Steele of Get2FreeCards recently shared a unique “how to” perspective he follows for reaching network marketing succes. It’s called the PCD Triad for Success.

In Harley’s on words it goes something like this …….

“Chances are you have never heard of the PCD Triad, because I created it and haven’t posted it but in a few other areas. It is simple and true logic. The other day I was pondering what it takes to succeed. Now, obviously there are many success factors, but I believe there are three core factors for success. Imagine a Triangle with each of the below attributes at each corner:

1. Passion (P)

2. Confidence (C)

3. Determination (D)

Success depends almost entirely on these three factors; the PCD Triad.

Passion …….

If you start trying to sell a product which you don’t use or wouldn’t dream of using yourself, then there is no passion. Sure, if you worked in theater or have an Academy Award, you might be able to fake your passion. But for most of us, we can’t fake passion. Even if you think acting out your passion couldn’t be done better by Brad Pitt, most will see right through your acting. Passion comes through to people whether in person or even on the phone. A person can sense your passion. If you’re highly passionate about your product or service, then you are one third of the way to success.

Confidence …….

I became passionate about the service I promote instantaneously. I knew before I even dreamed of the business opportunity side of my company that I would use this service for life. I started using the service and wanted the world to know about it too, so I began sharing it with people. In my mind, how could anyone not love my service? Well, everyone did love the service, but they weren’t all signing up on the spot like me. I didn’t get it. It sure wasn’t for my lack of passion. It might have had something to do with too much passion, but even more it had a lot to do with my confidence level. You see people sense confidence as much as they sense passion. Over time my confidence level rose, and my success rate rose as well! If you don’t see yourself making the sale before you actually do, then you most likely won’t make the sale. It is more than believing you can; it is knowing you can. This is an obvious law of attraction principle, and one you should never forget. There are many methods for gaining confidence, so if you’re lacking in this area, seek out these methods and master being confident.

Determination ……..

OK, so now we are passionate and confident; well over half way to success! Still, all the passion and confidence in the world won’t always equal success. Why? Well, many reasons, but one that comes to mind is prospecting the wrong people for your product or service. No matter how passionate or confident you are, prospecting senior citizens for a new video game will never equal success. This is an off the wall example, but you get the point. Another reason might be troubled times where the particular people you are prospecting can’t afford it. What is needed to mix in with passion and confidence to equal success is determination. Determination will keep you going when you’re not doing as well as last month. Determination is an attribute that is truly held by winners. If you can master never quitting, then you’ll master determination.

There you have it. Just a simple man’s logic.”

What To Do At Tax Time With Your MLM

March 23rd, 2009

Every year — about this time — there’s always a prospecting language that says things like:

“If you join our business, you can write off all your expenses. Even your lunch with coworkers or your cellphone bill!”

“If you get started in our business, you can write off every mile that you drive your car. Even if it’s just to the bank or the post office!

“When you start your business, be sure to keep your receipts for anything you buy. If you buy a DVD player and use it in your meetings or invite a prospect to your house to watch a presentation….you can write off the whole thing.”

“Are you going on a cruise this year? Be sure to talk to some people about your business on the cruise. You can write off the whole trip as a business expense!”

And, all of these statements — by themselves as they’re written — are simply not true.

There’s a lot of quick-and-dirty tax advice that’s given in our industry and most of it is well-intentioned. But the main thing is that you get your ultimate tax advice from a professional.

Basically you can boil everything down to these 4 simple items the IRS will look for …..

1. Demonstrate that you intend to make a profit

2. Work your business on a regular basis and consistent basis.

3. Run your small business like any other “real” business.

4. Record all your business expenses, incomes and activity.

The New Myth of Network Marketers Being the Best Prospects

March 22nd, 2009

If you’re up on the online mlm scene you’ll know that some of the well known players teachings are promoting the idea of targeting existing network marketers as the best prospects.

Have a read of this quote and guess what year it was written in. Go on, actually have a guess and don’t peek at the answer just yet.

“Today, everybody seems to be into retreading existing distributors over and over and dreaming about landing the big heavy hitter”

What’s the best way to succeed in MLM?

December 9th, 2008

There is many opinions out there on the best way to do mlm. Some people say the old school ways of prospecting in your warm market and buying leads are dead. But often the people that say that are just promoting their own online mlm system and products.

All the different ways you can build your business still work if you do them properly. If you don’t learn the various ways you can prospect then you are missing out on potential reps and business builders.

A big part of the new school mlm approach is called attraction marketing. This is about positioning yourself as a leader and someone that can help a prospect. This principle can be used with the more traditional prospecting techniques, and is actually how successful mlm’ers do the business.

Rather than just hitting someone up about the business, you need to first qualify them and see what it is they want. Then you need to teach them about the industry, and what it takes to succeed. Only then will a prospect start to trust you enough that they will join you to achieve the dream they have.
