Yet another paid networking site has popped up recently at wowzza.com, which is similar to direct matches. While reading about their fees and payment plan it got me thinking about the difference between legitimate network marketing and pyramid schemes.
Legitimate network marketing companies have a physical product or a valuable service, like a mobile phone plan, where the representatives would buy the product or service regardless if they were a rep or not…
Now Wowzza claims that the $30 a month fee is well worth the networking opportunities and the blog, forums, group and whatever. But is it really that valuable when you can already get the same features and benefits elsewhere for free like the magnetic sponsoring community. Why would someone pay $30 a month to look for an opportunity when they are already bombared with opportunities for free.
They tout their forced matrix compentation plan and that you can make upto $1800/month without sponsoring anyone, however they also say that spillover is not a reason why you should sign up for the paid membership.
In the the members sections it says:
Do not make income claims, spillover claims or promises to build someone’s downline
And the email that I recieved telling me about wowzza said:
Do it NOW, as my sponsor has a network of 9000+ he is introducing to the program tonight, and you want to be an upraded member ($32) to get that spillover! There is no sponsoring required to earn on the matrix.
hmm…
So whats going to happen with these people who join expecting spillover when it doesn’t cover their monthly fee? They’re going to cancel when they get sick of reading all their messages from people telling them about their groundfloor opportunity.
Now the people above them won’t be covering their monthly fee, so it won’t be long before they pack it in.
Although there will be plenty of suckers that keep coming in to fill their spots to perpetuate the game.
Thats enough ranting for today, I’m going to focus my thoughts on more positive endevours now ![]()

Although I don’t think Wowzza is a scam, I have to wonder how “worth” the monthly membership price is. Last I looked it’s over $30 now. Starting out it appears you only receive 1 buck on who enrolls under you up to $3 for each person on “residual” income. It’s not worth it to me, as I 100% agree that places like Mike Dillard’s community offers this exposure FREE and to me, just the traffic I’ve generated alone there is worth more than a dollar a month in residual commission from Wowzza.
I would think it would be up to the person who joins Wowzza and what they are truly there for. If it’s for exposure, you may grab some attention, but is it incentive attention? In other words, others are there for the same reason, exposure and cash. Are they going to focus on your offer or promoting theirs?
Anyway, I’m done - I just wanted to comment on your views of Wowzza. But for a paid member site, I think Ryze will still have them beat. I mean you can still join them free and provide your info and profile without committing to a payment and I’ve gotten good traffic with my free account there as well.
We’ll see how it all pans out. It will most likely show itself after the dust has settled and the “buzz” wears off.
Thanks for the post!

Here is my comment and reply……
Simply… Some do some don’t..
I have been online and have seen my share of failure and success. Been there done that got the T-Shirt so to speak…
If you don’t see the true value of networking and getting paid for the time you network…Maybe this (Wowzza) Isn’t for you!!!
As if half if not all of the people in here are actually making money online,(I got my commission check(s).. Did you get yours?;;…) but you don’t want to learn how the system works and build a long term residual income with solid people that have been in the business way longer than you combined?
Then go to a company called World Profit…. They will put people to work for you 24 hours a day..
You need at least 6 people to stay per month To break even…
Call it harsh, but people that know me online know me as The-Blakester.. That’s right The-Blakester
Google me..
There are only 3 things you need online to succeed
One of those 3 is, and should be a platform that you can meet, and learn on a neutral ground how to actually make a dad gome income on the internet…
You probably haven’t made one dime on the internet and have 7 (or more)things you are trying to promote and have no “Real Clue” as to what is really going on….
Guess what? There is still hope..
Skype me… Google me… I am there..
Thanks for your comment Robert. I do see the value in networking communities and I do make a few grand a month from the internet.
However my main point is why would you want to pay for Wowzza or Direct Matches when there is the Magnetic Sponsoring and other communities where you can get exactly the same for free.
When the marketed reason to pay for something you can get elsewhere for free is to convince other people to pay for something they can get for free elsewhere, then thats where I have a problem.
